About GreenSnippets

GreenSnippets is a library of small, reusable pieces of code that solve common problems, with an explanation of how each works and what to watch out for.

How snippets are reviewed

  • Every published snippet is reviewed by a person before it goes live.
  • Where a snippet can be run automatically, we run it against a real runtime and show an "Executed with …" note naming that runtime. Snippets without that note were reviewed but not executed by an automated test, and the page says so.
  • Security-sensitive snippets (passwords, signatures, SQL) call out the caveats that matter.

Community submissions

Registered users will be able to submit snippets. Submissions are never published automatically: a moderator reviews each one first.

How the site is funded

The snippet library is free. We may later offer paid developer resources and use affiliate links; any such links will be clearly disclosed (see the affiliate disclosure). We do not sell personal data.
